Darlene's Sweet Potato Casserole

This is my mother-in-laws recipe for Sweet Potato Casserole.  Every Thanksgiving this is everyones favorite dish.  So I, of course, asked her or the recipe and make this every now and then.  Everyone I've ever made it for absolutely loves it!!

Casserole:
3 Cups Sweet Potatoes, cooked and mashed*
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter
2 Eggs; beaten
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1/3 Cup Milk

Topping:
1/3 Cup Melted Butter
1/2 Cup Flour
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Chopped Pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees..

Mix Sweet Potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk - put this mixture into a buttered 13" x 9" baking dish.
For the topping mix all ingredients and sprinkle on top of the sweet potato mixture.

Bake for 25 minutes.

*Bake Sweet Potatoes in oven, wrapped in foil for about an hour for 350 degrees.  They are done when you can easily stick a fork in them.  If you bake them ahead of time, put them in the fridge until you are ready to mash them and make the casserole.
